Communication Design - Portfolio Assignment 3 | Vijay Design Studio
Create the Colour Palette and Understand Colour Media & Colour Schemes – Portfolio Assignment for Design Colleges
Dear Students,
This assignment is very important for your portfolio preparation for Design Colleges like NID, UCEED, NIFT, and NATA.
You have to create two circles of 5 cm radius on two different pages. One page will be for hot colour schemes and the other page will be for cool colour schemes.
In the first circle, you will work with hot colours – Red, Orange, and Yellow. In the second circle, you will work with cool colours – Green, Blue, and Violet. You can refer to the colour wheels provided for better understanding.
Use poster colours and small round brushes to complete the work neatly and professionally.
Inside both the circles, you have to create simple design elements.
For the cool colour circle, draw 2 to 3 ice creams, 2 to 3 cones, 2 circles, 2 squares, and 2 to 3 wavy lines inside the shapes.
For the hot colour circle, draw a sun, cactus plant, sunglasses, hat, along with 2 circles, 2 squares, and 2 to 3 wavy lines inside them.
Once both circles are completed, on the backside of the page, create a proper colour palette using the same colours you have used in your composition.
The overall work should be neat, well-balanced, and visually appealing. Focus on understanding colour schemes, colour application, and presentation quality, as this is very important for your design entrance portfolio.
