FINAL results of NID DAT 2023 (B.Des)
The National Institute of Design (NID) was scheduled to declare the FINAL results for NID DAT 2023 for the M.Des program at 4 pm TODAY, May 18. For FINAL results for NID DAT 2023 click here
Note that the FINAL results for the B.Des program will be out on May 19 (postponed from May 18)
For the B.Des program, the final results would be prepared by giving 40% weightage to DAT Prelims and 60% weightage to DAT Mains. Meanwhile, for the M.Des program, DAT Prelims carries 30% weightage, while DAT Mains is worth 70% weightage. Check the full details below.
The National Institute of Design earlier declared DAT Prelims result for the B.Des program on March 16. DAT Prelims results for the M.Des program were announced on February 28, 2023.
The scores of DAT Prelims were used to shortlist candidates for DAT Mains.
The NID DAT 2023 (Prelims) exams were held on January 28, 2023. Meanwhile, DAT Mains for the B.Des was held on April 30, while DAT Mains for the M.Des program was held from March 20 to April 20.

NID DAT Result 2023 - Tie-Breaker Policy
Candidates can go through the criteria that NID authorities follow if two or more candidates secure the same marks in NID DAT 2023 Prelims .
Tie-Break policy for preparing NID DAT Prelims 2023 result for BDes
If two or more candidates secure the same marks in NID DAT Prelims for BDes admissions then the tie will be decided as per the following criteria:

Higher rank to be given to the aspirants who have secured higher marks in Part II of DAT Prelims

If a tie still exists then a higher rank to be given to the aspirants who have secured higher marks in Part I of DAT Prelims

If the tie still exists then both candidates will be given the same rank

NID DAT 2023 Result Recheck
The National Institute of Design hasn't yet released the schedule for the re-check of NID DAT 2023 FINAL results for the M.Des program.
The M.Des DAT Prelims re-check window closed on March 20, 2023.
The rechecking process was restricted to:

Whether all the answers have been marked.

Whether there has been any mistake in the totaling of marks for each question in Part II of the answer booklet and transferring the marks correctly onto the first cover page of the answer booklet.
The rechecking process will not involve a re-evaluation of any other aspect of the answer booklet.
To submit their requests, the candidate will have to pay a fee of INR 2,000.
NID DAT Prelims Result Re-Evaluation - Key Points
Check important points to keep in mind regarding re-checking of NID result 2023 below:

Candidates can submit the request for re-checking of NID answer booklet in online mode on the official website of the exam only

Any request submitted over email will be rejected by the institute

Re-checking requests submitted without a scanned copy of the NID admit card signed by the invigilator with the seal of the test centre will not be processed by the institute

The fee for re-checking of NID result is Rs 2,000 that candidates need to pay in online mode only on the official website of the institute

The communication regarding the revision of marks will be made to candidates on their registered email
How to Get NID Answer Booklet Re-Checked?
Candidates can follow the below steps to get their NID result re-checked:
Step 2: Click on the answer booklet re-checking link given above
Step 3: Login by using your registered email ID and date of birth.
Step 4: Click on the given checkbox on the page.
Step 5: Click on the Proceed button.
Step 6: Upload NID admit card 2023.
Step 7: Follow the prescribed steps to re-check the answer booklet.
Step 8: Pay the fees of INR 2000 (per discipline).
Step 9: Click on the Submit button.

NID DAT 2023 - Types of Merit Lists

The National Institute of Design will release two merit lists
-
Merit list to shortlist candidates for DAT Mains - This merit list will be prepared by considering scores of NID DAT Prelims 2023. Candidates who are included in this merit list can appear in DAT Mains.

FINAL merit list of NID DAT 2023 - To be included in the final merit list, the candidate must have appeared in both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains exams.

Seat Allotment - The NID DAT 2023 seat allotment process will be conducted by considering the final merit list.
NID DAT 2023 Final Merit List

The National Institute of Design will release category-wise common FINAL merit lists by considering the sum-total of the weighted scores obtained by the candidate in DAT Mains and DAT Prelims. The NID DAT 2023 merit list will be released for Open, GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, and PwD categories.
The common merit list will be generated in percentile form.
