Product Design -Mountaineering Bag (NID Entrance Exam Practice)
Product Design – Trekking | Mountaineering Bag (NID Entrance Exam Practice)
Imagine you are designing a compact, practical trekking bag for people who go mountaineering. Think about what a climber truly needs during a journey in cold mountains or rocky terrains. Essential items may include a water bottle, a lightweight tent, mini gas stove, food supplies or dry fruits, sunglasses, warm clothes, inner layers, gloves, zippers, shoe-grip gears, a walking stick, a torch, navigation tools, first-aid essentials, and other basic survival items including flash head light or torch.
Your task is to select only the practical items that a small or medium trekking bag can realistically carry. Avoid overfilling the bag - think like a real product designer who understands space, weight, ergonomics, and user comfort along with asthetics.
Now, design a mountaineering backpack showing how the compartments, pockets, materials, straps, and internal layout can support these essential items. Your sketch should clearly communicate function, form, utility, and design thinking.
Use pencil or colour pencils. Draw on 1/8 size paper.
